Since 1989, Pozitif has been a driving force in Turkey’s culture, arts and
entertainment scene. Through the brands it has created and the communities it has
fostered, Pozitif has played a catalytic role in shaping the region’s social life and
contributing to its cultural transformation.
With brands such as Babylon, Volkswagen Arena, Bonus Parkorman, Cappadox,
Doublemoon and Babylon Soundgarden under its umbrella, Pozitif operates with a
vision to deliver unique and boundary-pushing cultural experiences. Its mission is to
enrich lives and support individual freedom through universally accessible,
meaningful experiences.
Pozitif reaches a wide audience in Turkey and abroad through large-scale concerts,
festivals, shows, and cultural events. The company has hosted performances in
Turkey by global stars such as Rihanna, Lady Gaga, U2, Metallica, Black Eyed Peas,
REM, Morrissey, Bob Dylan, Peter Gabriel, Imany, Oscar and The Wolf, and Emma
Shapplin — and has organized numerous stadium concerts to date.
Pozitif has also brought major international productions like Cirque du Soleil and Ice
Age Live to Turkish audiences, and is the creative force behind events such as
Babylon Soundgarden, One Love Festival, Red Bull Music Festival, and WOW –
Women of the World Festival Istanbul.
The term "Pozitif Vibrations" was first coined by Pozitif’s co-founder Mehmet Uluğ in
an interview, describing the unique energy and impact that live music experiences
leave on audiences. Inspired by this concept, the Pozitif Vibrations series was
created to offer music lovers a holistic approach and an experience close to
perfection.
Bringing together diverse music genres and spreading across multiple venues
throughout the year, the series continues to fill the city with Positive Vibrations.
Founded in 1999 to bring the best of contemporary and progressive music to one of
Istanbul’s most vibrant districts, Asmalımescit, Babylon quickly became a
transformative force in the city’s music culture. By hosting leading names from both
local and international music scenes, it evolved into not only a cultural hub but also a
space for discovery.
Over the years, Babylon’s stage has welcomed an impressive range of artists —
from Sun Ra Arkestra, Jimmy Scott, and Jane Birkin to Patti Smith, Marianne
Faithfull, Thurston Moore'a, Macy Gray, Charles Bradley, and from Lykke
Li to Diplo and Apparat.
Since 2015, Babylon has continued to shape the rhythm of the city’s music,
entertainment, and social life from its new home at Yapı Kredi bomontiada, offering
diverse sounds, fresh ideas, and unique experiences.
Since 1999, Babylon has helped shape the rhythm of Istanbul’s music scene. During
the summer months, it steps out of the city to offer a festival experience immersed in
nature. Babylon Soundgarden has become one of the city’s most distinctive
festivals bringing together dance, entertainment, and creativity in a music-filled forest
atmosphere, away from the chaos yet still at the heart of the city.
This journey, which began in Çeşme in 2011, has grown into one of the unmissable
summer events over the years. The festival hosts both international headliners and
rising local talents, offering a vibrant, carnival-like atmosphere across multiple stages
and a rich, all-day program.
